I help people develop the ideas, insights and experiences they want to share.
My work spans nonfiction, thought leadership and memoir, from questions of meaning and human behaviour to business expertise and personal experience. Here is an overview of the kinds of projects I’ve undertaken.
Three collaborations / Three starting points
Every book has its own beginning.
A closer look at how I work with authors, from an initial idea to an existing manuscript. These project stories are shared without author names or book titles.
01
THE STARTING POINT
A title, an outline & a synopsis

A finished book
Ghostwriting · Research · Philosophy & spirituality
From big questions to a finished book
This project began with a title, an outline and a short synopsis. The author wanted to explore some of life’s most intriguing questions: what consciousness is, how we understand reality, and what science, philosophy and spiritual traditions can contribute to our understanding.
My task was to develop that starting point into a book in his voice. I researched the subjects, expanded the ideas and found examples that would help readers engage with unfamiliar concepts. Throughout, I worked to preserve his curiosity and perspective while giving the reader a clear path through a wide-ranging subject.
My involvement continued beyond the writing. Alongside his graphic designer, I assisted at every stage of formatting as we prepared the book for publication.
02
THE STARTING POINT
Teaching notes & specialist knowledge
↓THE RESULT
A completed manuscript
Ghostwriting · Business strategy · Case-study development
Bringing teaching and business experience to the page
The author brought me a title, an outline, a brief synopsis and notes from a series of teaching videos. These gave me a starting point for understanding his approach to revenue growth; my task was to develop them into a book readers could follow and use.
I expanded the material into chapters, developed the explanations and researched case studies to show how the ideas worked in practice. Teaching and writing call for different ways of presenting information, so I paid particular attention to what readers would need explained and how each chapter would build on the last.
The completed manuscript brings the author’s expertise into a practical, accessible form, helping readers consider how the principles could apply to their own businesses. Publication is still to come.
This author had already written his manuscript when he approached me. He wanted to preserve his family’s history in a book, and needed help bringing the writing together and finding his way through self-publishing.
I began with substantial developmental editing, working on the organisation and flow of the story, before moving on to detailed copyediting. Throughout, I took care to preserve his voice and the personal quality of the memories he wanted to pass on.
Once the manuscript was ready, I walked him through each step of the publishing process. My role was to help him understand the choices, work through the unfamiliar stages and bring his family legacy book into the world.

The work behind the work
Listening closely. Writing carefully.
Every project calls for a different balance of research, conversation, structure and storytelling.
I bring writing and editorial experience to each collaboration, but the starting point is always the author: what they know, how they think and what they want the reader to understand.
Confidentiality is part of the craft.
Every project is undertaken under a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). I protect client names, book titles and project details. I share identifying information only with express permission.
